A Report on Summary Data Regarding Full-time Equivalent Employees for the Quarter Ending November 30, 2011

January 2012

Report Number 12-703

Overall Conclusion

At the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2012, the State employed 310,865.4 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees. This number decreased by 2.5 percent from the first quarter of fiscal year 2011 (318,814.2 FTEs). It is important to note that agencies and higher education institutions self-reported the FTE data presented in this report, and the State Auditor's Office did not independently verify that data.
