Legislative Audit Committee

The State Auditor serves under the general guidance of, and is responsible to, the six-member Legislative Audit Committee (LAC), a permanent standing joint committee of the State Legislature. The LAC consists of the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one member of the Senate appointed by the Lieutenant Governor, and the chairmen of the Senate Finance Committee, House Appropriations Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee.
